About Sumit Dairy
A family dairy in Gandhi Nagar, Muzaffarnagar, since 1990.
How it began
Sumit Dairy did not start in a factory. It started with a problem: good, honest dairy was hard to find. In 1990, Charan Singh began this business in Gandhi Nagar, Muzaffarnagar with one rule: sell only what you would serve your own family.
In the early days there were a few cans of milk, a handful of loyal customers and long mornings. People noticed the difference in taste, came back, and brought their neighbours. Honesty built the shop, one customer at a time.
Two generations, one standard
Today Charan Singh’s sons, Pankaj and Sachin, look after the daily work of the dairy, from collecting milk to making and delivering the products. Charan Singh remains the head of the family and the business, and his experience guides every decision.
Standing with local farmers
Our milk comes from local farmer families in Bakar Nagar, Kasampur, Rahkera and many other villages, where we have our milk collection base. We buy directly, so no middleman takes a share of their earnings. We pay fairly and on time, and we help with advances when a farmer needs to feed or care for cattle in a hard season.
When the farmers of Bakar Nagar, Kasampur, Rahkera and many other villages do well, so does everyone in Muzaffarnagar who depends on their milk.
